മുഴങ്ങിയിരുന്ന കൊളോസിയം കാഴ്ച്ചയില്‍ ചെറുതാകുന്നു..

എന്നു പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിച്ച്‌ പുറംതിരിഞ്ഞു നിന്നെറിഞ്ഞ

എന്ത് പറ്റി മാഷേ, ഒരു യാത്രാമൊഴി പോലെ...
യാത്രാമംഗളങ്ങള്‍ പ്രിയ സുഹൃത്തേ... റോമിനെ നെഞ്ചിലേറ്റിയുള്ള ഈ യാത്രയില്‍ 'നമുക്കിനിയും കണ്ടുമുട്ടാം'(ARRIVEDERCI ROMA) എന്നാണല്ലോ നീ ആശംസിച്ചത്‌... അതങ്ങനെ തന്നെ സംഭവിക്കട്ടെ...

വരികളിൽ നിന്ന് റോമിനോട് യാത്രചോദിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് മനസ്സിലായി. സഞ്ചാരിയുടെ കമന്റുകൂടി കണ്ടപ്പോൾ എല്ലാം വ്യക്തം.
ഇനി ചിത്രത്തെപ്പറ്റി. വളരെ നല്ലൊരു ഫ്രെയിം ആയിരുന്നു. പക്ഷേ ആ സൂര്യകിരണങ്ങൾ ഓവർ എക്സ്പോസ് ആയിപ്പോയതിനാൽ അതിന്റെ ഭംഗി ഇല്ലാതെയായിപ്പോയി. ഇത്തരം ചിത്രങ്ങൾ എടുക്കുമ്പോൾ ക്യാമറയിലെ എക്സ്പോഷർ കോമ്പൻസേഷൻ ബട്ടൺ ഉപയോഗിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ‘ലൈറ്റ്’ കുറയ്ക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. അപ്പോൾ മേഘങ്ങൾക്കിടയിലൂടെ കടന്നുവരുന്ന പ്രകാശകിരണങ്ങൾ വ്യക്തമായി ഫോട്ടോയിൽ പതിയും. ഫോർഗ്രൌണ്ടിൽ നിൽക്കുന്ന ബസിലിക്ക ഇതേപോലെതന്നെ ഇരുണ്ടിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. ഓവർ എക്സ്പോസ് ആയിപ്പോയ ഒരു ചിത്രത്തെ ഫോട്ടോഷോപ്പിൽ തിരുത്തിയെടുക്കുവാൻ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടാണ്. എന്നാൽ അണ്ടർ എക്സ്പോഷർ കുറേയൊക്കെ മേക്കപ്പ് ചെയ്യാം.
Fully agree with Appu above.One more suggestion is to use a smaller aperture so that the light source (here the sun)will appear star shaped and you can clearly see 'JACOB'S LADDER' or 'GOD'S FINGERS',an especially apt one for a picture of a Basilica.What is really sad is not that the picture is not a price winner,but that it just missed to be one.An 'almost there' photo:-(

or you can try with two different exposures and combine them, One for sky and one for the foreground. Nice composition
